Caernarfonshire/Sir Gaernarfon (Caernarfon, Bangor, Llandudno, Conwy,
Pwllheli, Porthmadog)
Caernarvonshire, among the counties of
the British Isles, no other county combines so many beauties,
natural or otherwise, within its borders. There are mountains in
Scotland higher than Snowdon, but none which uses its bulk to
greater effect.
Caernarvonshire specialties which are
beyond challenge, the green and silver ribbon of the Menai Straits
and the two great wonders, each unrivalled in its kind, of Carnarvon
Castle and Conway Castle.
Historic Castles and Churches, Famous
Monuments, Educational Museums, Art Galleries, Fun-filled theme
parks, golden sandy beaches, spectacular hills and mountains, and
steam railway excursions are all available in Caernarfonshire
Caernarfonshire, also known as
Carnarvonshire or, in Welsh, as Sir Gaernarfon, is a maritime
traditional county of Wales, bounded N. by the Irish Sea, E. by
Denbighshire, S. by Cardigan Bay and Merionethshire, and W. by
Caernarfon Bay and the Menai Strait, which separates it from
Anglesey. |
